On April 14, OnePlus is about to launch its upcoming OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro premium grade phones. Some more information has been revealed and we are here to tell you!
Due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic, OnePlus will be hosting its press event online via live stream on social media handles on April 14.
Display
There will be a change in the design of OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. The handsets will have a single punch-hole camera, whereas the previous models have notch and pop-up camera in the pro edition. Moreover, the devices will have Fluid AMOLED 6.55-inch (OnePlus 8) and 6.79-inch (8 Pro) QHD+ display (resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Processor, RAM, and Storage
The latest OnePlus 5G smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. There will be options of 128GB and 256GB (UFS3.0) internal storage.
Pro edition will come with an IP68 rating and OnePlus 8 will not come with any official rating.

Battery
It is rumoured that the Pro edition will be backed up by a 4510mAh battery along with 30W fast charging support as well as 30W wireless charging. The OnePlus 8 will have 4300mAh battery with 30W fast charging but no wireless charging.
Camera
The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will sport a triple and quad rear camera setup respectively.
Saying about OnePlus 8, there will be a 48MP primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide camera and the third one will be a depth sensor.
On the other hand, the Pro variant will have a 48MP primary camera with a Sony IMX689 sensor, 48MP ultra-wide camera with Sony IMX 586 sensor, 8MP camera with 3x optical zoom and a 5MP camera.
On the front side, OnePlus 8 will feature a 16MP camera and 8 Pro is expected to have a 32MP selfie camera.
Besides, there will be MEMC chip (enables motion smoothing) in 8 Pro which will improve the video quality of up-scaling a 30fps video to up to 120fps.
Price
Now let’s talk about pricing!
OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will be priced a bit higher because of 6% GST being imposed on smartphones.
OnePlus 8 will be between EUR 719 to EUR 729 (INR 59,500 to 60,500 approx) for the base variant and EUR 819 to EUR 829 for the higher-end variant.
However, 8 Pro will be priced somewhere between EUR 919-EUR 929 (INR 76,000-77,000) for its base variant and the top-end variant it will be priced around EUR 1009-EUR 1019 (INR 83,500-84,500)
