The Galaxy M31s features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 2400 x 1800 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display further boasts a punch-hole (Infinity-O in Samsung’s term) to accommodate the selfie camera and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is no physical or in-display fingerprint scanner but a side-mounted fingerprint scanner doubled on the power button for biometric authentication.

Internal Configurations

The Dual-SIM smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 processor (it seems the company is not going to give up this chipset) coupled with Mali-G72 GPU, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. The storage can be further expanded via a dedicated slot. It runs on OneUI 2.0 based on the latest Android 10. Like few other M-series smartphone, the Galaxy M31s also comes packed with 6000mAh battery that draws power via USB-C port. And another major change is seen in the charging department as you will be getting a 25W fast charging technology instead of the 15W charger. It takes a lot of time to completely charge a 6000mAh battery with a 15W charger, hence this is a good move by Samsung.

The quad-rear cameras are arranged in L-shape in the rectangular module. This quad-camera include a 64MP primary Sony IMX682 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 12MP 123-degree ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. Moreover, there are two more 5MP sensors for depth sensing and macro shots. The camera supports some advanced features like Single Take and supports 4K video recording as well as Super Steady Mode (gyro-EIS) for steady videos. The selfie camera, on the other hand, comes with a 32MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and it also supports 4K video recording.

Connectivity and Sensors

The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G, GPS, USB-Type C and 3.5mm audio jack. And the sensors included are fingerprint sensor, accelerometer,  gyro, proximity and compass.

Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy M31s comes with a price tag of Rs. 19,499 for the base 6GB+128GB variant while the 8GB+128GB variant costs Rs. 21,499. The smartphone comes in two colour options – Mirage Black and Mirage Blue which looks simply cool. Moreover, the Galaxy M31s will be sold via and Samsung’s official website from August 6 in the country.
