Realme has launched its two new C-series budget smartphones – Realme C12 and Realme C15 in India. These smartphones were also launched in Indonesia lately. The company has started focusing on sub-Rs. 10,000 segment and launched Realme C11 last month. For those who don’t know, Realme C11 is not a successor to the Realme C3, Realme C12 and C15 are also independent smartphones. However, Realme C12 happens to be a downgraded version of the Realme C15 only in terms of camera. Apart from this, the Realme C12 and C15 are also the first smartphones by the company to come with 6000mAh battery.

Realme C15 and Realme C12: Specifications and Features

Display and Design

Starting with the design, the company has retained the similar design we have in Realme C11 but this time we get a zig-zag geometric gradient design. There is a square camera module that houses a triple camera setup on Realme C12 whereas 4 cameras in Realme C15. Both the phones feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a small waterdrop notch housing an 8MP selfie camera. Additionally, Realme C15 also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection.

Internal Configurations

The newly launched Realme C-series phones are powered by MediaTek’s Helio G35 chipset. We also have the same processor in Realme C11. The Realme C12 is offered in the only variant of 3GB+32GB, on the other hand, Realme’s C15 is offered in options – 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB. For the first time, the company has provided a 6000mAh battery instead of the standard 5000mAh battery in these smartphones. Moreover, the Realme C15 supports 18W fast charging technology while Realme C12 only comes with 10W charging support as well as reverse charging. It runs on proprietory Realme UI based on Android 10.


Sensors included are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted) and proximity sensor. And for connectivity, we get Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack.


Apart from the camera, both the smartphone are almost similar in terms of every aspect from design to internals. The Realme C15 comes with a 4 rear camera array which includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. A secondary 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.25 aperture accompanied by a B&W portrait lens and a retro lens. On the other side, in Realme C12 sports a 13MP primary camera along with a B&W portrait lens and Macro lens.


Price and Availability

Both the C12 and C15 smartphones are offered in two colour options namely Power Blue and Power Silver. The Realme C12 will be sold via Flipkart and Realme website from August 24 at Rs. 8,999 for the sole variant. Whereas the Relame C15 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the base variant and the 4GB+64GB costs Rs. 10,999. It will be sold via Flipkart and Realme website starting from August 27 in the country.
