Oppo A53 with Snapdragon 460 SoC Launched in India

The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched a new smartphone called Oppo A53 for the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment. Nonetheless, the Oppo A53 is the first smartphone to be powered by the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset. The smartphone comes with some interesting like 90Hz refresh rate, 16MP selfie camera, 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and more.

Display and Display

Starting with the front, the smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a punch-hole cutout, a 90Hz refresh rate and 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. The handset comes in a polycarbonate body with 3D iridescent wave gradient design, a vertically arranged triple camera array and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Internal Configurations

The Oppo A53 is powered by the newly launched Snapdragon 460 chipset along with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Well, it will be a piece of good news for many as we can expand the storage further by 256GB via a MicroSD card. The phone runs on ColorOS 7.2 based on the Android 10. The company has not skipped the 3.5mm headphone jack and also included a Type-C port. There is a 5000mAh battery and the device supports 18W fast-charging solution.


On the back, there is a triple camera setup that includes a 13MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Further, there are two 2MP sensors for macro shots and depth-sensing like every other smartphone nowadays. The punch-hole on the display houses a 16MP selfie camera on the top left corner.

Price and Availability

The Oppo A53 is launched at a starting price of Rs. 12,990 for the 4GB+64GB variant. While the 6GB+128GB variant costs Rs. 15,490. It is available in 3 distinct colours – Electric Black, Fancy Blue and Fairly White on Flipkart that too in an open sale.
