Recently, Dell, the leading laptop brand launched its latest XPS 13 and XPS 15 laptops in India. The XPS series is designed for the ultimate experience with the exceptional build quality, robust features with manageability and security options. The XPS lineups were first showcased in Las Vegas at CES 2020, and have since been on sale in the US. However, the company has brought the laptop lineup in India at starting price of Rs. 1,44,807.
Here are the detailed specifications and features of Dell XPS laptops:
Display & Design
The Dell XPS laptops are designed for superior computing experience and come in 2 different display sizes that are 13-inches and 15-inches. The laptops are very slim and smaller in size with the larger display. The laptops offer the latest technology innovations and have 16:10 aspect ratio. In XPS 13 you will get a 100% RGB colour gamut and up to 100% Adobe RGB in XPS 15. Both XPS series offers 500-nits of brightness.

The Dell XPS 13 sports a 13.3-inch display which can go up to UHD+ 3,840 x 2,400 pixels resolutions and 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. While the XPS 15 comes in 4K UHD+ touchscreen 3840×2400 pixels resolutions and full-HD+ non-touchscreen 1920×1200 pixels resolution display options along with infinity-edge bezel-less design and Dolby Vision.

Body
For reliability, each XPS 13 and 15 chassis is precision-carved from one single aluminium block. XPS palm rests are made of carbon fibre, used in aircraft and high-performance cars, which adds power to the XPS while keeping it cool and comfortable to touch. The XPS series comes with edge-to-edge corning gorilla glass protection which offers 10x the scratch resistance and is available on all touch displays. On the top, there is a 1080p IR webcam for video calling. The XPS 13 series laptops weigh 1.23 kgs and measures 15.8 x 302 x 199mm. While the Dell XPS 15 measures 18 x 344 x 230mm and weighs up to 2.05 Kg.
Internal Configurations
The laptops run on window 10 and powered by a 10th-Gen Intel Core i7 CPU along with up to 5.1GHz boost clock. The XPS 13 is the first laptop equipped with GORE Thermal Insulation, which delivers thermal conductivity levels lower than air in a lightweight, compact shape, to keep the laptop cool when it works hard to solve the heating issue, there are Gore Insulation channels that will release the heat. Moreover, the dual fans and heat pipes will lower down the temperature, enhancing users’ experience. The XPS 13 laptops come with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.
On the other hand, the XPS 15 powered by 10th-generation Intel Core i9-10885H and equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU. XPS 15 offers up to 32GB of DDR4 SDRAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 3 SSD storage.
Battery
The XPS 13 laptop is equipped with a 52WHr battery which can deliver up to 18 hours on an FHD+ model and up to 12 hours while using a UHD model while the XPS 15 laptops are equipped with an 86Whr battery which can deliver 21 hours on the Full HD+ model or up to 13 hours on the UHD+ model.
Connectivity & Sensors
For connectivity options, the XPS laptops offer Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.1 Type-C, two Thunderbolt ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD card reader. The laptops are integrated with a fingerprint sensor.
Price & Availability
The XPS 13 and 15 comes with a price tag of Rs 1,44,807 and Rs 1,86,072 respectively and The XPS 13 is available in three different colour options – silver, rose gold and frost colour and the XPS 15 is available only in silver colour.
