This must be sounding easy but most of us assume that we show our PowerPoint Slides properly in Zoom Video Meeting. Not everybody does that though, we end up showing the taskbar, scroller, and other unwanted items that could distract the viewer from the information we want to deliver. So Techsavvy, your tech guide will share a few complete step-wise guides that will help you to present your slides properly and effectively.
#1 How To Present PowerPoint Slides in a Zoom Video Conference
Step-1: If you are in a zoom meeting as a presenter, you shall see an option of Share Screen on your display. Click on Share Screen or Alt+S to launch it.
Step-2: Share Screen dialog box will pop and you will find Screen that highlighted by default.
The advantage of this method is, you can easily jump between different application let’s say from your slides to a YouTube Video. While the disadvantage of this will be that you’ll share your full screen even if you’re doing multitasking like sending an email, your audience will see you.
#2 How To Present PowerPoint Slides in a Zoom Video Conference
Step-1: Click on the Share Screen option appearing on your display.
Step-2: This time instead of clicking on Screen, Click on the window (PowerPoint window you want to present) and click on share.
This will only show the PowerPoint window so that you can do multitask and your audience won’t see that. However, in this method, you may not be able to see what’s going on in the PowerPoint window while you are busy on another window.
#3 How To Present PowerPoint Slides in a Zoom Video Conference
Step-1: In continuation to #2 Method, in your PowerPoint application you can click onto the top bar and click Slide Show.
Step-2: Click on Set Up Slide Show and select Browsed by an individual (window mode).
The window mode will enable your audience to see just that window. Moreover, a small window will appear on your desktop which you can move. Hence, you will be able to do multitasking while keeping a check on the ongoing presentation by resizing the other window.
#4 How To Present PowerPoint Slides in a Zoom Video Conference
Step-1: Click on Share Screen and select Files on the top.
Step-2: A window will appear and let’s say you have saved your PowerPoint Presentation in One Drive or Google Drive. Click on One Drive or Google Drive and select your presentation and give access to whom you want to share the presentation. For eg. Choose anyone can access it.
Step-3: Click on Share your screen.
Now only those you have given access to your presentation will be able to see your full screen this time, your browser window will appear instead of PowerPoint. You can also set it to presentation mode and your audience can see your slides while you are multitasking like in the #2 and #3 Methods. Your audience won’t be able to see anything else other than your slides.
