nokia media streamer launched in India

Nokia Media Streamer with a dedicated remote has been launched by Flipkart which look quite similar to the recently launched Mi Box 4K. The Mi Box 4K supports 4K videos while the Nokia Streamer features FHD resolution at 60 fps only. Apparently, Nokia’s Media Streamer will be competing with Amazon’s Fire Stick and Mi Box 4K as well as Mi TV Stick which are available at a similar segment.

Nokia Media Streamer: Specifications & Features

Nokia Media Streamer runs on Android 9 Pie and features Google’s Android OS for streaming. The device has a quad-core processor along with a Mali 450 GPU. Besides, the streaming device sports Dolby Audio and offers full-HD resolution streaming. It supports dual-band WiFi to connect both 2.4GHz and 5GHz standard networks. This streamer comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage under the hood.

Moreover, the streamer box comes with a remote which enables Google Assistant, Netflix, and Zee5 along with other buttons like power, volume and navigation. We wonder why Zee 5 instead of Prime Video. The device also said to support multiple applications in the Google Play Store, enabling users to access and stream content from a range of services.

Price and Availability

The Nokia Media Streamer will be available at Rs. 3,499, the same price as Mi Box 4K. The sale will begin from August 28 exclusively on Flipkart.
